Good old Boat & HPCC Contest 2012

OK Gang! So we weren't quite able to get the Good Old Boat Coolest Modification EVER Competition in place for 2011, as we got together with Karen and Jerry a little too late this year to pull it all together. However GOB has come aboard as a Great Sponsor this year....AND...we will run this competition for the next 12 months with the Winner announced at the 2012 HPCC event. AND!!....Jerry and Karen are making plans to try to be here themselves for the 2012 event!

If you have a modification or project to your boat that you would like to enter into the Good Old Boat Magazine Coolest Owner Modification EVER Competition you neeed to get some decent photos of it and write up exactly what you have done. Send it to me at Sailhavasu@aol.com . All entries will be displayed on this webpage for everyone to see. Karen and Jerry will also be keeping an eye on things! Over the course of the next 12 months we should see some pretty cool entries pop up!

The winner will be picked by the Good Old Boat Magazine Staff. They will receive free lodging for the following year's HPCC event and will take custody of the Good Old Boat Traveling Trophy that we are currently producing for one year! Not only that! The winner will also be able to write an article about their modification and have it published in GOB magazine. The article will be subject to necessary editing from GOB editors of course, just like any article they publish. (That's why their magazne is SOOOOO good!)

So listen to what Jerry and Karen are telling you above and send in your entries! I'll get them posted as soon as I start receiving them and we'll get this party started for the 2012 competition!

Also, Karen and Jerry won't be able to make this year's event, however, Michael Facius (Publisher and Ad Sales) WILL be attending! Michael and his wife Patty owned and trailered a Precision for many years, so he's certainly "one of us"! We are absolutely thrilled and honored to have an industry leader like Good Old Boat Magazine attending our event and coming on board ar a major Sponsor. Thanks Jerry and Karen!

Contest Rules:

Write about and photograph a modification on your boat or trailer.
Send it to Sean for posting on the HPCC site. (SailHavasu@aol.com)
The deadline each year is Dec. 1.
Editors/founders Karen and Jerry select the winner for announcing the following Feb.
A traveling trophy will be awarded.
A 1-week stay at a Lake Havasu resort will be awarded (for the following year).
The modification will be featured as an article in Good Old Boat (written by the winner with editing help, if needed, from the editors and photo help, if needed, from Keith Bennett).
A Good Old Boat pennant will be awarded (while they last).
There is no limit for how many entries you can submit in a year, but you can submit each idea only once.
